Matei Varga

Romanian pianist MATEI VARGA has appeared as a soloist and recitalist in many of the world’s most renowned concert halls, and has won top prizes at numerous piano competitions, including Concurs Maria Canals and the George Enescu International Piano Competition. Varga graduated from the National University of Music in Bucharest in 2004, where he studied with Ana Pitiș, Ioana Minei and Sandu Sandrin. He continued his studies in New York City, working there with Pavlina Dokovska at Mannes College, and received an Artist Diploma and an M.A. in Music. He lives in New York.
